Lucy And Her Bone

I find myself when I go out to eat some Texas barbecue ordering beef ribs. Well, if no one else I'm at the table orders them. It's not my favorite but my girls love the bones so much. It's the only kind of bone I will let them have. They are huge but it doesn't take them long to gnaw them down to nothing at all. I never notice any side effects like I do when I've given them rawhide chews which often makes them gag or throw up. And with that pleasantry, we wish you a happy holiday weekend.

I Worried All Day

I took my girls to the spa this morning before work. Okay it's not a spa but a pet store with a groomer. They got their summer cuts and look soooooo much cooler to me anyway. They aren't going to stay outside in Houston's heat and humidity but it should be more comfortable for them at any rate. Oh and less hair to vacumn. I was thinking about them all day. I'm worse than a parent taking a child to day care.
The store owner is a nice guy and is the owner of Sable's mother. He often has her in the store behind the counter but Sable doesn't seem to have a clue it's her mom. But I digress. I was so anxious to pick them up this afternoon. They were excited to see me and come home. Such a good feeling.

There was a whole lotta shakin' going on when we got home.

Lucy's Social Skills Are Improving

Went to the dog park yesterday.  It was another cloudy and humid day.  Most of the time we were the only ones there.  That's great when your trying to improve your girls social skills.  ONe dog showed up and was anxious to greet my Lucy and sable from their swim.
You can see Lucy did quite well and greeted the friendly dog with her typical charming demeanor.

My Girls Don't Care About Birds

Lucy and Sable aren't interested in the birds I've been feeding. They will lay around under the feeders and the birds go about feasting.
I have a difficult time keeping the feeder full. Those darn Grackles wipe it out quite fast. They don't give the squirrels a chance. Now a squirrel would get Lucy and Sable's attention.

The birds keep a watchful eye on my girls though.

Lucy's Profile

I took my girls to the dog park yesterday after work. There were only 2 other dogs there. Now that is just the way Lucy likes it but Sable prefers a larger gathering of canine friends. After much swimming their butts are dragging this morning. It will be a quiet day. I hope you have a good weekend!

Here Kitty Kitty

My Sable is always looking up. She's got a good attitude.
