Okay, I lie. We were just there for an hour or so. There being Pawm Springs Dog Park here in Sugar Land. It was a bit chilly but no wind. There was frost on the ground but after sunrise it became more comfortable. I like taking the girls to the park at day break for several reasons. One being it's the best time to beat the heat in the warmer months and second to beat the traffic. In addition, it's such a beautiful time of day.
A big motivator for taking Lucy and Sable to the parks is for exercise and socializing. They spend so much time through the week by themselves it's good for all of us to get out. But unfortunately, more often than not we are the only ones at the park in the wee hours. Yesterday no one showed up till we were leaving at almost 8:30 am. That suits Lucy fine to have the place to herself but Sable is a social creature and enjoys the other dogs.
They got in the water but it was a bit cold for them. The steam was rising off of them when they emerged.
They were stiff and sore last night and this morning after so much running but already are moving with much more ease this afternoon. I think they are happiest when wet.
