As always, poor Sable could not relax but had to keep her eye on the road for much of the ride.
We did have beautiful clear skies from Houston to just north of Hope, AR but then we ran into storms.
Joe enjoyed the stops at the rest areas along the way.
I did not enjoy sitting in the traffic on I30 due to construction.
The purpose of our trip was to take my Father to the Ozark mountains to his final resting place. He passed away last week at the age of 98. He would have been 99 next month and looked forward to being 100 like a child looks forward to being a teenager. Dad and Joe come to live with me 3 years ago after his bout of pneumonia. I can't say that I have started to grieve as of yet. I sure missed him when he fell and first had to go to the hospital back in late March. Now I am kind of numb. Joe seems to know what has happened and has been in a blue mood. Perhaps he knows that we are both orphans now?
