I had to let my sweet Sable go yesterday. It was so difficult yet knew the day was coming sooner than I wanted with her decline this year. Her weight continued to fall off despite the thyroid meds and I noticed earlier this year that she could no longer stand endlessly on her hind legs and look down the road as I drove. The last few weeks I have had to pick her up most of the time to help her walk and then she would always fall going potty. Even with all this I was hesitant as I sat in the vets parking lot yesterday. I was thinking I'd wait till after Christmas but that's what I said for her birthday in November. I knew it was time and I think she did too. It was the first time she was ever shaking at the vet's office. I loved this girl. She was a lab and chow hound mix. The man I got her from said she was the first one on and the last one off her mother. I already miss you so much Sable.

Oh Rick, I’m so sorry, she was such a beautiful girl. But you did the right thing. Hugs to you and Joe. Tim
