It's Hot In Texas Too

I know that some areas of the country are hitting the 3 digit mark on the thermometer but it seems just as hot here in southeast Texas with the humidity. Soooo...I take the kids for a long ride with the AC on high on Sunday.   Just too damn hot for a mid day walk or play time.  Sable and Joe seem to enjoy the sights.  We hope that you had a good weekend as well.

No my Lucy girl doesn't bark like that but I was thinking that when I saw this picture. I know to crank up the AC when my girls start pawing the dash.

It Was Soooooo Hot Today

Yeah today and till Halloween here in southeast Texas but I took Lucy and Sable to the park this afternoon anyway. One indicator of the heat is the number of other dogs at the park. None! Sunrise is the best time to take them but I just haven't had the opportunity lately.
They love the water but as they splashed and rubbed up against me I could feel the water wasn't very cool.
Their tongues were hanging low.
When they head for the shade under the skimpy trees I know it's time to go.

Puppy Prosac Anyone?

My girls seem to be pouting a lot lately. They are mad at me it seems. They just don't understand it is too hot for them to go riding with me doing errands. We haven't been to the dog park either. It's too hot to be there mid day so unless we can get there just after sunrise we don't go. It's only mid June. We have a loooooong hot summer ahead of us apparently.
