On Vacation

Last week when the temperatures finally dropped to a tolerable level I wheeled my Dad over to see the ducks.
I had an ulterior motive as well and that was to get rid of some dry dog food that my babies never liked.  It seems the ducks did not care for it much either but did devour the loaf of bread we also took.
I took Lucy, on leash, to see the ducks when she was just about 7 months old.  I don't think that I had an inkling as yet to how much she loved the water.  But soon she would have a baby sister and monthly trips to the dog park, aka swimming hole, would ensue.
We'll be in the Ozarks again for the week but I won't torture them and take them to the water on leash this time.
Have a good week!

So Happy!

My girls were well groomed when I picked them up at boarding school. But more importantly, they were oh so happy to see me. They have displayed no hard feelings or resentment at all towards me. I HATED leaving them. It's been a long time since I boarded them. I had bad dreams while away. One was that the strip shopping center where the pet store they were boarded had caught on fire. Then I dreamed that some lazy ass employee had let Sable get away from her while walking. I had a good time but I'm glad to be back home with my girls.

Joe "The Terrible" Has Been Here

Joe is my father's dog. He's the one in the middle. Although I have to admit, he is not quite as terrible as in past visits.
He's no different than my girls when it comes to standing at the table waiting for a handout.

Wow! Where has the time gone? I prepared a post about going on vacation but never posted it. The post is resting comfortably in the draft section of blogger. My father and I went to Tucson on June 27 and returned here to Texas July 3rd. Then I took my father home to Arkansas on the 9th of July returning here on the 12th. It's been a very busy 3 weeks with typically miserable summer temps and some tropical downpours as well. Now I have to catch up on chores around here.
I hope mid summer has been good to you and yours and that you have a great weekend!

Vacation

My girls and I have been on vacation. Here we stop and sniff around at a scenic overlook in the Ozark Mountains in Arkanasas. It was Hot Hot Hot everyday of our travels but we managed to stay cool while traveling.
