Sunday With Spike!

I'm sad to see Spike leave today but my brother is back from vacation.  Spike has been a good boy.

A Perfect Guest

Spike has been a pleasure to take care of this week.  Just as it was with Lily, I will miss our time together.  He is much like me in that he just likes to sleep and eat and HATES our Texas heat.

All In The Family

I got to see Sable's brother Spike over the holidays.  He's a friendly pooch as well.

Late Night Visit

Sable's brother, Spike, came over for a visit.  He is my brother's baby.  Unlike Sable, he is a barker.

Sunday With Spike

Sable's brother, Spike has a lot of energy.  He could fetch Frisbee till a person dislocated a shoulder.
Spike is lean because of all the attention he gets from my brother's brood.
But, like Sable, he is 10 years old now and does get tired.  He is not quite the "chow" hound like Sable though.  But he is just as lovable.  He just can't get close enough to you when he sits next to you.  He loves nudging you with that cold nose.

All In The Family

Sable's brother, Spike, appears to be as much a chow hound as Sable.  Yet, he manages to stay somewhat lean.  How is that?  Oh yeah, my Dad is not around feeding him scraps all the time.  Plus their house rule of "no scraps to the dogs".  What a downer.

Company

Sable's brother, Spike, came over for a visit over the weekend.  Sable is not too interested and shows no connection but Joe loves to pester him when he is here.  Spike is a few inches taller than Sable and about 15 pounds lighter.  He's very affectionate/friendly like Sable.

Just Like His Sister

Everyone was scolding my Father and me over the weekend at a family dinner.  It seems Sable's brother Spike knows that we are suckers for those sad puppy dog eyes so we often slip treats under the table to him.  They are such sticklers for rules. It's not our fault Spike is a beggar like his sister.  Anyway, Spike is always glad when we come over.

They're All Beggars

Well, I guess if you let them be.  We had dinner at my brothers yesterday and Sable's brother Spike was there.  He's a bit leaner than Sable and taller too.  But he definitely likes to beg like his sister.  At least they all beg in silence.  My father is a sucker for those puppy dog eyes.

Begging Is Genetic?

We enjoyed dinner at my brothers Sunday and Sable's brother, Spike, was there.
As well as Piper, another brother and sister team.  They seemed to beg just like Lucy, Sable, and Joe.
Is it a family thing or a canine characteristic? BOL  I suppose some family friends do the right thing and go lay down some where during meals but my Father is constantly slipping treats under the table.

It's Good To Know

I thought I was the only one that had or allowed canine family members hang out at the dinner table but after dinner at my brothers over the weekend I know different. The golden lab is Sable's brother Spike. I can't remember my nieces Lil rodent's name under the table.

Begging Runs In The Family

Sable's brother Spike likes to wait for handouts too. I had dinner at my brothers over the weekend which gave me the opportunity to see Spike. He's a good natured pooch just like my Sable. Thankfully, he's not as fat as Sable. He stands several inches taller than Sable too.

Sable's Brother

My niece is the master of Spike, one of Sable's brothers. He stands about 4 inches taller and is much leaner than Sable. My niece doesn't feed him snacks of any kind or table scraps and it shows. But he is just as loving as Sable. They are both amazingly affectionate dogs.
