Have you heard that it's bad for your pets to ride with their heads out the window? I understand the flying debris/safety issue but have you heard that it can eventually cause cataracts? I was just wondering. My girls love to have the window down. Although, I never get on the freeway or drive at a high rate of speed for any length of time with the window down.
With the days getting a bit cooler, the girls are riding with me more often as I run errands. The mid day sun is still much too hot for them to be in a parked car for any length of time though. But when I got out of my truck the other day this lady was telling me that it gives dogs cataracts to ride with their head out the window. Damn. Always something or someone raining on my parade. I never get on the freeway at high rates of speed with the window down but driving around Sugar Land less than 50 mph much of the time hopefully is no harm to them.
