Hot Dogs By The Fire Pit

It finally turned a bit cooler here this week.  I had been wanting to have a fire in my cheap little pit from Lowes that I've only used 3 times in as many years;so tonight I got home from work early enough to get it started.  I would welcome many more weeks like this one this winter.  I know the pooches would be equally happy too.

It's Like A B12 Shot

 When the temperatures drop, my girls and Joe have a double dose of energy.  So naturally when a cool front came through over the weekend we had to go to the dog park.

 Lucy and Sable love the water while Joe seems content to just drink the water.  Maybe some day I will look up and Joe will be swimming.  That's what happened with Sable.  After numerous visits to the park with Sable waiting at the waters edge for Lucy's return, one day I look up and realize that is Sable out in the middle of the water.

They're feeling frisky while the weather is cool for a few days.

Cooler Weather Brings Privileges

With the days getting a bit cooler, the girls are riding with me more often as I run errands. The mid day sun is still much too hot for them to be in a parked car for any length of time though. But when I got out of my truck the other day this lady was telling me that it gives dogs cataracts to ride with their head out the window. Damn. Always something or someone raining on my parade. I never get on the freeway at high rates of speed with the window down but driving around Sugar Land less than 50 mph much of the time hopefully is no harm to them.
