What A Pain

Sable has an ear infection. She's had them before. I always know when she starts shaking her head. So now we are on the routine of ear wash and ear drops twice a day for two weeks. She is so smart when she sees me reach for the bottles she runs outside. And the real kicker, while struggling with Sable Lucy came up and nipped me on the back side. WHAT? I can't believe she would think I would harm Sable or either of them. It seems like Lucy done that to me before when I had to wrestle Sable to give her medicine. See how fast they turn?
At any rate, the vet trip cost $162. Is that typical in your area for office visit, express anal glands, check ear for bacterial infection, plus meds?????

The Evil Eye

Lucy appears to be giving me the evil eye. I should be giving her the evil eye. I can't believe you bit me Lucy!

Exhausted

This is how we act when the temps are in the mid 80's and the humidity 90% plus all week.

It's The Holiday Season:Sometimes Tempers Flare

You can be relaxing minding your own business.

Then someone or something triggers that nasty temper of yours..

Then the situation escallates into quite a scene.

And you're not happy till you have the last word.

Then a calm, with a little guilt mixed in, comes over you and all is tolerable, if not well, with your world.

Joe loves to be chased but my girls are of the age they aren't interested.

My Baby Is 8 Today

Sable Bear turned 8 years old today. She celebrated with her sister Lucy and Uncle Joe with beef ribs which took them no time to whittle down to nothing. I also got her a new red leather collar for her birthday/Christmas. Although it was a warm and rather muggy day here, she was much happier than she appears in this photo. I can't believe my baby is 8 years old. I feel so old.

Dogably Pawfect Saturday

I know in this economy not all of you can afford fine French cuisine. But my father feels that Joe is worth it.

I certainly feel the same way towards my girls. They enjoy fine food so much. ;)

I know I shouldn't but they love em so.

It's Good To Know

I thought I was the only one that had or allowed canine family members hang out at the dinner table but after dinner at my brothers over the weekend I know different. The golden lab is Sable's brother Spike. I can't remember my nieces Lil rodent's name under the table.
