My Wailing Wall

King Solomon didn't have much to do with this water wall in Methodist Hospital here in Sugar Land but it is here where I've taken many of my meals this week.  My Father fell and broke his hip last weekend so I have been at the hospital everyday, all day every since.  What is it about falls and broken hips with the elderly?????  I can't say anything.  I have taken a tumble in the bathroom myself and wondered afterwards "how the hell did that happen"?  So the blog, the dogs, and everything else around here has been neglected and will continue to be for a while.  Patience my friends and I'll be back soon.  Have a great weekend!

Monday Memories

My Lucy with her new elevated food pan.  I had read that it was better for a dogs digestion for the pan of food to be off the floor???????  At any rate, in a few months Sable would come live with us and it would my girls buffet.  But Lucy you were so picky that Sable just assumed both bowls of food was hers.

Monday Memories

Ah yes, I remember my little fur ball Lucy and the days of carpet.  I miss you both!  Hair and all.

The Weekend Is All A Blur

Sunday was a wet dreary day here in southeast Texas.  Staying in bed and reading the paper(yes I still take the paper) seemed to be the best way to pass the time. But Sable kept waking me up for a snack.

Take A Joy Ride This Weekend!

For Sable, a joy ride is a "food run".  Have a great weekend!

Monday Memories

This was taken at one of our many trips to the park pre Sable days back in 2003.  Lucy, showing me that she was the boss, always held the leash in her mouth.  Soon I would train her and as a result she was always very good on leash.  However, it was a challenge to keep her out of the fountain at this park.  It is not a dog park but it is the first place that I got a clue at how much Lucy loved the water.  It wasn't long till I learned of area dog parks with swimming holes and the fun began.

Monday Memories

You didn't get much use out of this cage did you Lucy?  No, your master couldn't stand to come home from work and see you in there.  Soon, I would put in a pet door and a gate inside to keep you in the sunroom and kitchen.  You needed the room.  Then you could be at the kitchen door waiting for me when I came home.
