My girls loved the water but Lucy, the Golden, was the first to take to the water.  It was a few months after going to the dog park that I looked out and saw that Sable was finally swimming with Lucy.

I'm sad to see Spike leave today but my brother is back from vacation.  Spike has been a good boy.

Spike has been a pleasure to take care of this week.  Just as it was with Lily, I will miss our time together.  He is much like me in that he just likes to sleep and eat and HATES our Texas heat.

All my babies loved to ride.  It must be a sense of adventure for them plus it takes the wear and tear off their legs.  I miss taking them to the park and for a Sunday ride.  I enjoyed taking them with me on errands on the few cool days we would have during the winter months.

Pet Sitting Again!

I have Spike, Sable's 14 year old brother, with me for a week or so while my brother and family vacation.  Spike is like me in that he moves slowly, gets up and down with effort, and likes to eat.  A big plus is that, like Sable, he is not much of a barker.

Sunday Drive With Lily

Lily has been the perfect house guest the last two weeks.  Today we went to the park and took a nice long drive afterwards.  She goes back to her mom and dad tomorrow.  Just before I get too attached.
