Monday Mourning

I was working in the yard  over the weekend and found Lucy's porcupine among the weeds in the bushes.  It brought back a flood of memories.  It was her first toy.  I would tell her that it was her baby.  I miss my Lucy.

5 times in my life, I have been in the place where you are now. With one little guy, I couldn't bear to even look at his picture for months. One day, many months later, I was passing the shelf in the den where I have photos of each one of them, and I was able to remember and smile.
Put the porcupine on a shelf and one day it will make you remember and smile.

I've got a couple of Sam's toys in a special place. I come across his stuff and it hits me very hard - I feel for you, Rick.

Rick, just know your not alone, we all miss her. Howard is so right, they stay with us all our lives, in our memories and in keepsakes. That porcupine is another gift from Lucy, look after it!

Of course you do. She was such a part of your life. I hope over time the memories become more nostalgic and less sad.
